"The Debriefing" | Scrapbook Layout

Hi there! Today I'm sharing a fun layout I made about JJ and Jason. Jason is away a lot for work (he's a pilot), sometimes for days at a time. Usually, while he's away, we mostly communicate via text - not too many phone calls - so often the boys don't talk to him for a few days at a time. So that means once he's home, JJ usually has a queue of stories built up! Last year, when he first started being able to really string sentences together and tell stories, that's what he'd do as soon as Jason got home. He'd give him a play-by-play of all the stuff that happened while he was away. (Literally ALL of it! haha.) Most of the time, Jason could just barely get in the door before it started. I wanted to make sure I documented this!

I used a sketch from the Ready Sketch Go (Volume 1) class by Crafty Jen Schow and Tracie Claiborne. I've been super inspired by that class lately! For paper and ephemera, I used bits of a whole bunch of things - Dear Lizzy's Saturday, Amy Tangerine's Happy Life, Ali Edwards' 'Heart' Story Stamp, and bits and pieces from some Elle's Studio kits.

Considering we were worried about JJ's speech (he was considered a 'late talker' and didn't start saying basic words until he was about 2.5 years old), it's crazy to see what a chatterbox he's become! So happy to have this little 'tradition' documented!

Thanks for stopping by!
